Established in 2024, The Venue is a locally owned and family-operated boutique event space dedicated to making your special occasions truly unforgettable. Nestled in the heart of our community, we pride ourselves on providing personalized service, elegant settings, and a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Our Story
The Venue was born out of a passion for bringing people together and celebrating life’s most cherished moments. Our family saw a need for a unique and intimate event space that combines sophistication with comfort. Drawing on our years of experience in event planning and hospitality, we created The Venue to be a place where every detail is meticulously curated to exceed your expectations.
About Whitney
When I first got the idea for The Venue, it came to me randomly in The Beach Café’s kitchen on a Tuesday. It didn’t feel like the “perfect” timing. With my café and Sun Spa businesses growing and three kids to care for, it felt like an insane idea. But the truth is, I know Red Deer needs something like this now, not in two years. Sometimes taking action is scary and wild.
We are almost done with the space, and I get teary-eyed when looking at what we created in less than two months with pure grit.
Let’s normalize all the different ways people can chase their dreams. Let’s normalize women having seasons of devotion to being home with their kids and seasons of stepping into their power as business owners. Let’s value what moms bring to the table as entrepreneurs, but also respect that our businesses are run differently. We don’t have 19 hours a day to be available to our businesses, and we need clear boundaries around family time. It’s an imperfect journey, but I feel pretty lucky.
